The OCTA OC Bridges construction project on the north side of Orangethorpe at Tustin/Rose initially progressed more slowly than what was happening to the south. There was a lot of work going on at both sites simultaneously, but it seemed like more was being done on the south side. Once the walls were built south of Orangethorpe, things picked up more to the north.
After they closed Tustin/Rose, they ripped up the street.
Eventually they pulled down all of the trees between the houses and where the street was.
Then they started building the wall, packing in dirt as the walls got higher and higher.
My view has gone from large trees to a large wall as shown in these shots below. The first shot was around September 2014, the last one from mid April 2015.
At least the wall won’t shed leaves all over the yard and house.
