There has been a lot of work being done on the OCTA OC Bridges construction project at Tustin/Rose since my last update. Back in June the framework for the bridge had gone up and more has been added.
The section around the train tracks have still yet to be added, but the rest has been steadily taking shape.
Last month they poured concrete on the top of the south section of the bridge, and a couple of weeks ago they did the same for the section on the north side of the tracks.
I’m curious to see how they will add the last section above the train tracks, and when it will happen. I’m guessing train traffic will need to stop when they put it in, and to minimize that downtime they would probably pre-build some of it and lay it into place. Or maybe they would just put the parts up individually, who knows! It will be interesting to see though.
